I have used a lot of Tri-X (400) and it's a toss-up between Neopan 400 and it.

"I use Neopan 400 in documentary work in a Mamiya 7. I use it just like a 35mm rangefinder, hand held. But I get better prints from the bigger neg.
Neopan 400 makes prints that look just the same as HP5 or Tri-X. It exposes the same, develops the same. It's primary advantage is that is costs less

"I used the Neopan 400 in a Brownie Hawkeye. A slight mod to the camera itself and I was able to shoot 120 in a camera designed for 620 WITHOUT RESPOOLING OR CUTTING THE SPOOL! Typically people respool 120 onto a 620 spool, not this film.
