"I'd say this was a great product but it doesn't shield it's light for shorter lenses. When I use my 24mm 1.4, I get a crazy flare rings around my images from portions of the lens hood that recess and don't shield it from the ring. My 50mm 1.4 is even shorter and I get major ghosting across the whole image. I am going to construct something from neoprene to wrap around the hoods to block the stray light...." Read Full Review »

I ordered it to shoot senior pictures and get good face lighting, but I also hear it is good for shooting "product shots." It is a very simple, one-piece device that you attach to your flash. …" Read Full Review »

"I purchaed the ray flash and love it. This provides really nice, even lighting excellent for portrates. Since it uses the flash on the camera, ETTL metering is fully operational. The center opening is large enough to accomodate lenses with wide diamiters. "
