"I bought this set for my kitchen to replace my 24-year-old Sony 13". Broadcast picture quality is at least as good as the Sony's, which was always quite good even when that set was reaching the end of its useful life. DVD playback picture quality is awesome. "You'll need good rabbit ears for the Analog signal clarity. The digital signal is excellent but I do not understand it because if you stand in front of TV to change channels it appears to effect the signal. The first thing I did was drop the remote in the kitchen sink filled with water which rendered it useless.
