Abattery is a battery but do I need two?

"A nine volt flat battery is pretty basic. I could not find any rechargable 9 volt batteries, but I needed one for my smoke detector now so I had to accept the next best choice. With so many simple devices that could use a rechargable battery, you can never find one easily, especially 9 volt flat size I did eventually find a 9 volt rechargable battery, but I had to special order it from Radio Shack...."
