Cheap but Good

"Compared to its Nikon equivalent this is cheap and flimsy gear- but it is much lower priced and it does seem to work well. That said I actually like the design better than the Nikon, it's smaller and better ergonomically and the cord is less bulky and more flexible. I wish Dot-Line made a 'Deluxe' version with a better plug and a sealed switch- that would be a winner! Treat this one well and I think it will las..." Read Full Review »

If only it worked

"I bought this item because it seemed to be a cheap way out, as compared to the prices of the Canon brand remotes. But, what they say is true. You do get what you pay for. The item arrived broken. But, even if the item did work, I am sure I would have returned it. It looks and feels like a very cheap and flimsy product. I learned a lesson. After investing so much money into the camera body and many lenses,..." Read Full Review »

"Super simple to setup... just plugs into the camera. Super easy to use... works just like the camera button, depress a little to focus, press all the way to expose. The cord length is the only disadvantage, but for the price it is perfect for taking tripod shots without camera shake. "

"I used this remote to do astrophotography with my Canon 10D attached to an 800mm telescope and to my 70-200 2.8 lens.

It worked very well, responded quickly, did the job.

The cable is somewhat short and I had to ground it to the tripod to try to minimize any cable vibrations any movement would …"  Read Full Review »

"I bought this remote release because the MC-30 was out of stock at B&H, and I was in a time crunch.

Pros: AF function works well, semi-rubber-ish grip makes it easy to handle, and the cord is of adequate length.

Cons: Very hard to get into place on the body (in my case, a D300) - because it …"  Read Full Review »
