"I bought this unit today. OK, like many of the reviews with all of the FM transmitters for MP3 players this unit is not different. The signal output is weak and didn't work very well at all. However, I have a DLO unit for the small 2 generation iPod. I found with the old DLO FM transmitter that if I plug the headphones into the unit they act as an extension for the attenna.
