"I bought the DirecTV dish and receiver in 1999, installed it myself, and have been paying monthly service for a premium package since then. Last December 2007 my receiver stopped working. I could order a receiver from them for 19.99 shipping or buy one at Best Buy for 60 dollars, I was told the receiver I had was obsolete, but I was never notified of this.
