Good upgrade for older PC's

"Tried a Geforce FX 5500, but Nvidia doesn't support my monitor's native resolution of 1680 x 1050 from the DVI output. Diamond Stealth S120 installed with no problem and immediately assigned the correct resolution. It's worked flawlessly so far. Installed the latest ATI drivers rather than the one's from Diamond...." "This board proved nothing but trouble. It was intended to be a replacement for a Gigabyte ATI 9550. After installation, several problems occurred: 1) VPU Recover message, 2) Blank Screen requiring reboot and 3) Out of Range message appeared on my screen (Reboot required).
