"It draws way to much power from USB Port. I bought it to use with my Macbook to save wear and tear on the internal drive. Wanted to import over a 1000 CD's. But even with the second cable hooked up it would not work. I even tried a Powered USB Hub -still NG. My Windows machine would recognize it but would not mount a disc. "Plugged it into my Acer netbook and it went to work! Light, easy to carry. Wish it didn't have to take up 2 USB ports and would be nice if you got some software for playing DVDs or CDs with it (the 4s for Value and Features).
Quiet, and not much larger than a CD. Nice buy.

"If you are looking for a cheap ext disk drive, this works fine. It sort of grinds away while reading and the construction is a bit flimsy (the door sort of hits the casing and has to be popped in to close it), but so far it has been working fine. "
