"I have a Denon receiver that can decode the new hi-res audio formats, so I don't need a player that does the same. It would make it redundant. I just wanted a player that was capable of bitstreaming Dolby True HD and DTS-HD MA directly to the receiver to decode. The Denon 2500 fits that bill. It has performed flawlessly in that regard. "It is very slow. Pressing tray opening button switches the player on, but would not open the tray - or I couldn't wait long enough for it to do it and had to press the same button again. I have a feeling that the soft (firmware) is quite buggy. The playback of one disk stopped for no reason. Had to restart the player. The disk worked fine next time around...." Read Full Review »
