"A great improvement over the Harman/Kardon I use to have. The Multi-EQ function does a great job of smoothing out speaker tone and adjusting for your room's unique acoustical quirks. "You cannot use any s-video devices with this unit; the s-video port is solely for use with a Denon iPod dock (not included). Some composite sources (Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64) do not work with this unit; they will play sound, but there is no picture output over HDMI. "Aside from needing to be a serious techno-geek to be able to properly dial in the settings, it's an amazing piece. Good power, great features and a lot of bang for your buck. I've had Denon units for over 25 years and this is by far the best value over all of the previous receivers I've owned. "
