Having the smart card reader in the keyboard takes up less space on the desktop not having an external reader. Keyboard itself is also small, taking up less space.

As always, Dell does it again. They make an awesome keyboard and add in a smart card reader. Very helpful. No more external smart card reader lying around the desk. It's all in one place. I would reccomend this product to anyone who uses smart cards. A must have!
