I upgraded from 2 256MB DDR2 to 2 1GB DDR2 for my RAM memory. My system now runs a lot better, smoother when I am running multiple programs. The only thing is that Dell does not offer in laymens terms, if my system can handle 2GB of RAM until I searched for hours to find out that my Inspiron 6

After adding the 1GB module in addition to the stock 256MB module, it was immediately recognized by the laptop BIOS and Windows XP. The boot time into Windows XP is significantly shorter. The biggest gain for me has been increased productivity -- I gain back at least one hour of my work day be

"Pros
Sped up computer, and fixed some lagging problems. Still not as fast as I would like, but, they never are. Easy to install and is quickly recognized by the system. Great upgrade for your system for the $$$.
