"Once open, the pop-up-shade is difficult to close with one hand. It need two hands, but this is quite unhandy. If you leave it out, getting your eye to the viewfinder is probably impossible.

"As I live on a very sunny island with lots of glare, I needed something to help with viewing outdoor images. This isn't perfect, but it does help, and it also protects the LCD from scratches. "
