"These little babies have surprisingly good sound, not concert hall quality but very good for everyday use. I have found that by saving the plastic shell-like pack they come in you can use it as a protective shield in damp areas like the bathroom or kitchen. POOR DESIGN OF BATTERY TERMINALS

"I received my portable Ipod speaker system and installed the 4 AA batteries it needs. The unit would not power up. I'm an electrical engineer, so had meter to troubleshoot the problem. The plastic between the batteries was too thick, which did not allow the positive battery lead to touch the terminal.
