"of 2 kits of 2 x 1GB DIMM (4GB total), 1 module was defective. I used antistatic bracelet, and very careful with insertion. RMA imposes to return a full kit, which means you have to return 2 modules even if one is good. As most gold sockets are only good for 25 insertions, I contacted Crucial, saying that it's not for the customer to validate modules at the expense of DIMM socket wear and was finally told I co..." "Searched the web for memory for a used desktop machine and found this to be a good deal. The memory selector was very helpful to make sure I received the proper memory. The additional memory added new life to the used machine. Now it's a lot faster. "

"If you want to upgrade your memory, their is no better choice than crucial. Their memory is always stable and reliable. I have never had a compatability problem with any of their memory. This is the way to go for problem free upgrades. "

"My client had an application, which needed a lot of memory. This allowed the Dell Optiplex GX-280 to show it's capabilities. Since data was no longer being swapped via the paging file on the harddrive, this application now runs much faster. "
