"The memory did increase my speed. However since adding it, my notebook would shutdown for no reason. After restoring it back to it's factory state and fighting with it for months, it hit me about the memory upgrade. The shutdowns were numerous to where it would shutdown 2 or 3 times in 10 minutes. "It took me three tries to get the memory seated
correctly. You really have to push very hard to
get it in there properly. Once I realized this,
it worked fine. I think that the memory made
specifically for the Mac might slip in easier.

"Pros: Relatively cheap for laptop ram. Great quality. I bought this to speed up my underpowered Windows Vista laptop ( as most of them seem to be). Vista immediately recognized the ram & at the right timings. Works great. Now I hae 2 gigs in my laptop & it's definitely an improvement.
