"The reason Crucial suggests a 2x1GB set is because the current configuration is 2x512MB and you should replace both sticks. I had not yet opened the computer and incorrectly assumed it was 1x1GB. GET BOTH STICKS! The extra 512MB didn't do too much to speed up my system. "
