"This is a great sound card. I can't find anything I don't care for besides the download time for the critical software updates was slow even using a fibre optic internet connection( over 15 mins). The install cd was actually optional along with the drivers and otehr software on it but I wanted to take full advantage of all the devices capabilities and features so it was installed. "After about 2 hours of installing, reboot, download driver updates, install driver updates, reboot, the card would not work. I disabled the previous (internal) sound card from Device Manager and rebooted again. The Creative sound card was still not detected and the LED on the unit did not turn on.
