"I selected these speakers and several others both 2.0 and 2.1 styles in the $100 to $300-price range (including the 8ose) after researching online and then went to the store to hear them. I was completely disappointed in the sound quality of everything that I listened to. All of the 2.1 systems had weak highs and boomy bass. "I bought these speakers a little over a year ago, I found them to be very appealing so I decided to dish out a little cash because I thought that it may be worth it in their quality. They have the best sound of any speakers that I've had but I must say they do seem to be cheaply made. Just after the 1 year warranty expired my speakers have ceased to work.
