"This is a reasonably priced, good quality basic DVD player. It is easy to operate, has excellent picture quality. It does offer porgressive scan output at a low price. It is able to play my DVD +R discs, something neither the product description or instruction manual is specific about. (I guess many products now won't guarantee or state what discs they will play.) "I read both good and bad reviews about this product prior to buying. I figured the bad reviews would not apply to me, as I have never purchased anything that did not work. But this DVD player shouldn't be sold in stores.
