"I've had this radar detector for 10 months, and I love it. I've never had a problem with the display going bad, and I've dropped it in my driveway innumerable times. So it's at least more durable than my cell phone. The only thing that I have a problem with is the range for detecting lasers. It didn't go off until I could already see the cop in the median. "Bought this for the safety alert feature. After tons of driving and testing I've determined this unit is junk. For all those that believe this thing saves you, consider this...
