"It's rather small, uses two AA batteries, has a fairly sharp 6x optical zoom, and the large screen is rather good to look at. The IS is a big help. The face detection works well, and the focus confirmation replay is helpful. The (flower) macro mode, though no focus point is selectable, is far better than it has any right to be. "I bought this camera for my teenage daughter for Christmas. She mainly uses it for snapshots and for pictures to post to her Facebook page. She has found the video mode to be very good and uses it all the time. I am a DSLR owner and so I thought this little camera would be good yet simple for her. "Pros
Not an expert shooter but this camera really makes it easy. Zoom to max digital and the qualty is really good. Mountains zoom in and elk photos are excellent. No pixels when printing. Highly recommend the camera. Price to features worth it. Batteries have really lasted.
