"The grip adds some good heft to the camera (using it on a Rebel T1i) and doubles the battery life. Nice to use the control wheel and exposure adjustments without reaching over. Takes a bit of getting used to muscle memory-wise (eg the eyepiece is in a very different position in portrait orientation). "Gives the camera a nice feel and longer shoot times. My primary reason for this purchase was so I could purchase the super cheap 5 hour batteries for my T1i and not worry about them leaking and ruining my camera. The Cannon batts are about $200, I get the cheapies for less that $15 "

"I went primative camping for several days and this worked great. The rechargeable batteries went dead on the second day after nearly 1000 photos. Then I used the double A insert to finish the trip. Great product for the primitive camper. Lightweight design. "
