"I have had other hubs that failed. I have 3 of these, 2 on the desktop and one on the laptop. They have worked without a hitch. They don't take much space. The side with 3 ports is good for using thumb drives because they are wider than most wires and can have a problem on the 4 port side. Like all of my stuff, they are plugged into a UPS.
