Slim design. Powerful performance. Patented waveguide speaker technology and powerful neodymium speakers – engineered specifically for the SoundDock(R) Portable digital music system – enable a smaller, slimmer profile while delivering the kind of performance you'd expect from Bose.

Rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides more power and longer playtime than other types of rechargeable batteries, for hours of listening enjoyment.

Proprietary acoustic design allows this elegant system to reproduce audio more efficiently and with higher quality than other battery-powered speaker systems.

Rotating dock folds neatly inside the main enclosure so the SoundDock(R) Portable system can easily slip into the SoundDock(R) Portable bag (an optional accessory). Also serves to protect the dock as you move it from place to place.

Built-in carrying handle also serves as a waveguide exit for a more efficient use of acoustic space.

Charges your iPod(R) when plugged into an electrical outlet or when operating on battery power so that your iPod is always charged and ready to go when you are.

Convenient docking, works with most iPod(R) models.

Remote control not only adjusts the SoundDock(R) Portable system`s volume, but also controls basic iPod(R) functions – including playlist navigation – from almost anywhere in the room.

Simple to use. Intuitive operation of the SoundDock(R) Portable system and basic iPod(R) functions. And you have full control of your iPod when it`s docked.

Volume control buttons inconspicuously placed on the side of the system let you adjust your music`s volume even if the remote is not readily available.

Ramping volume feature automatically turns the volume up gradually when it`s first turned on.

Bose(R) performance and Bose simplicity. Integrated system design matches amplifiers, equalizers and speakers for better acoustic performance, providing consistent acoustic quality without the inconvenience or worry of complex component adjustments.

A collection of proprietary signal processing technologies delivers an enjoyable listening experience at any volume level.

"Sounds like a $200 system but costs a fortune. It doesn't have a power on LED to tell you if the unit is on or off. Worst yet it doesn't have an on/off switch on the unit. It has on/off on the remote control. With no light to alert you to power on or off you have to shut down the Bose first in order to be sure.
