"I use the Bose Companion 5.5 with my desktop computer. I have an external drive that has over 60,000 songs. I use iTunes and a mix of VBRs and a mix of format. Many of these songs, (I would guess around 80%) when played, you will discover are have been rendered more crisp, and more importantly, spacial. "I haven't read any review before buying this speaker. I bought it after listened the demo at Bose store and Bestbuy store. When I first plugged it in, and tried itune to hear some music, I loved it. Quality sound was so good. Deep and nice. Perfect. I turned on the video, and I felt bad right away. It added noise and static sound in addition to the movie sound.
