"I use this filter on my 39 mm thread Leica lenses, particularly on the Leica M8. It transmits absolutely no light from the visible spectrum, so you have to use it on a very bright day or on a tripod. IR light has a bit of focus shift, so you should focus bracket when using this lens. "
