"I bought a set of these speakers about 3 years ago. Still using them to this day. We added a second computer to our home this past Christmas. We needed to buy speakers for it. Went back to the store and found these were still on the shelf. Little bit different of a design (the last design wasn't so odd looking, more straight box look). Same sound and still working good. "I bought these as they were [$] and I saw Altec Lansing. But I was wrong .. Very bad design bad sound quality. The base dimension of the speaker is not good, they fall a lot. The sound is not loud even if I put volume full. Buttons for power and volume are not good to handle.
