Once the Alpine DPR-RDS1 is installed, tune to a preset station, and you’ll be able to play your iPod or iPhone music through your vehicle speakers. Now you have an alternative to mainstream radio, and can listen to the music you want to hear, all from your own iPod library.

All playback controls such as searching or selecting a song will still need to be done through the iPod or Phone itself, but you are able to control your volume from the factory radio.
