"When a local vendor wanted 40 bucks to transfer my personal family events from vhs to dvd-he wanted 40 bucks PER one VHS tape. I bought this--and transferred a thousand dollars worth for the cost of a few DVD-r's... WARNING!!!!!!!!!! this unit only works with JVC dvd-r's. The manual also recommends MAXELL.
